Like everyone else that uses e-mail, we are swamped by 'spam', when e-mailing us,
best put 'boat list' on the subject line (so that it doesn't get mistaken as 'spam' and deleted unread).

You will notice that to try and defeat the spammer 'robots' that check web pages for e-mail addresses to use, we write your e-mail address [if given] in longhand. Anyone replying can by clicking on the e-mail address as shown - will send it addressed correctly, they probably already have your address, but at least we tried...

N.B: Sailtexas has not checked on the 'accuracy' of any listing,
it is important for any one answering a 'listing' to double check [everything].

Warning: We have been told of a suspected scam, in response to a sailtexas 'ad', in that the boat owner was told that he would receive a check for more than the 'asking' price, and to remit the balance via Western Union etc etc..... If this happens to you: Don't do it... The letter will probably look like this:

Dear seller, I hereby wish to inform you that I am interested to purchase your XXXXX sailboat.. Kindly give me your asking price also the condition as at now. Will you accept a Money Order as payment?. I have a secretary and colleague of mine who will be ready to send you payment by post when we both finally agree on terms.
1. Your full name that will be on the Bankers draft... 2. Your full address ........ 3. Your contact phone # ..... 4. Zip code.... 5. Country...... As regards shipment, you don't have worry yourself because I have a shipper who is ready on ground for pick up and shipments.hoping to hear from you soonest. Kind regards...
